On this island with an amazing natural diversity and magnificent beaches, rich history and cultural monuments dating back to the pre-Roman era, there are not one, but two marinas for yachts AСI-Rab and Supetarska Draga.
ACI Marina Rab is an ornament of its eponymous city, the largest center of culture, education and art on the island, which have developed here over the centuries.
ACI Marina Rab is located in the city harbor and offers many amenities for yachtsmen, from a restaurant to a spare parts store and a service station. The interior of the island is as impressive as its coast: up to 35 percent of the territory of Rab is occupied by forests and fertile land, which makes it the second most vegetated Croatian island after Mlet.
Approach
From the sea, the city of Rab can be recognized by its city walls and four bell towers. You can approach ACI Marina Rab by sailing between Cape Frkan with a red lighthouse (Fl R 2s 5m 4M) and the Frkan Shoal marked with a green lighthouse on a concrete pediment (Fl G 2s 6m 4M). The exact position of the Frkan shallow water is 44°44.9 ‘N 14°45.5’ E. You can also go around the shoal from the southeast. The entrance to ACI Marina Rab is marked by a red lighthouse on Cape St. Ante (Fl R 1.5 s 7 m 3 m) and the green lighthouse on the island of Tunera (Fl G 2s 14 m 4 M). Due to the presence of shoals in the vicinity of Tunera, it is recommended to swim closer to the red lighthouse. AСI Marina Rab is located in the Rab Bay, extending from the southeast to the northwest. The marina is protected by a breakwater with a green lighthouse (Fl G 1.5 s 7m 4M) at the entrance. During strong southerly winds, it is not recommended to moor in the city harbor. The speed limit in the entrance channel is 3 knots for all vessels. The western ends of ACI Marina Rab are illuminated.

The town of Rab was built by Illyrian tribe of Liburnians, first as a fort surrounded by stone drywall. Ever since then, until this day, the town of Rab has been the ornament of the island and the center from which culture, art, education has spread… It is not surprising, therefore, that Marko Antun de Dominis, one of the greatest European minds of the 16th century, a theologian, physicist, preacher, church reformer, grew in the bosom of Rab.
A sea blessed with plentiful fish and ancient trading routes, numerous medicinal herbs, the bountiful fruits of fertile fields, vineyards and olive groves, together with the inordinate friendliness of its people, make Rab an attractive destination at any time of the year.
During Rab Fair at the end of July, the entire town is brought 500 years into the past and transformed into a medieval fortress with jousting tournaments, craftsmen in the streets and squares with thousands of people dressed in historical costumes…
