Welcome to the 54th Edition
With a reputation as one of the biggest marine lifestyle events in the Pacific, the Sydney International Boat Show has come a long way since its inception as a standalone event in 1968. This year marks the 54th edition, and it promises to be a showstopper with a lineup of entertainment, experiences, and the best in boating, watercraft, and marine tech.
From paddleboards to power cruisers, sailboats to fishing gear, the event offers a unique opportunity to explore the latest innovations and trends in the marine industry. Clear your calendar and be inspired by all things aquatic from August 3 to 6.
A Rich History
The Sydney International Boat Show has a storied history, with its first site at the Horden Pavilion at Moore Park, where it remained until 1985. It ventured to a temporary facility in Pyrmont from 1986 to 1988, introducing an on-water component. These years laid the foundation for a long stint at Darling Harbour.
1989 marked a milestone with the opening of the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, leading to immense growth. After a major upgrade of Darling Harbour in 2013, the show relocated temporarily before returning for its 50th edition in 2017. Now, the spacious International Convention Centre, Sydney, and the spectacular marina displays on Cockle Bay are the proud hosts.
