Full Description & Details
Mala Draga is a bay on the northwestern side of the island of Ilovik, Croatia. It is a natural anchorage rather than a developed marina, offering a wild and simple stopover for boats. The bay is well protected from southern and eastern winds, but other winds can cause waves. The seabed is sandy, becoming rocky towards the shore, and anchoring is possible in depths between 2 and 10 meters.
A sufficiently deep spot for anchoring is only in the middle of the bay, where the anchor holds well. There is a small sandy beach in the bay, connected to the town by a footpath. There are no facilities in the bay itself. The nearest shop and restaurant are in the town of Ilovik on the eastern side of the island, a 1 nautical mile sail away.
The nearest fuel station is in Mali Losinj, 8 nautical miles away. The bay has no concession, and anchoring on your own anchor is free.
How to get there
Approach the bay from the sea, noting that the bay is on the northwestern side of Ilovik. The bay is well protected from southern and eastern winds, but other winds can cause waves.
Anchor in the middle of the bay where the water is deep enough, as the seabed is sandy there and the anchor holds well. The bay has no concession, so anchoring is free.
