Full Description & Details
ACI Marina Supetarska Draga lies at the end of Supetarska Draga bay on the northern coast of Rab Island in the Kvarner Gulf. The marina is situated in one of the oldest settlements on Rab, a small fishing village known for its clean sandy beaches sheltered from wind. The location is 10 miles east of Cres island, 6 miles south of Krk island, and 3 miles north of Pag. Three small uninhabited islets—Maman, Srednjak, and Sailovac—with natural sandy beaches lie directly in front of the bay.
The marina provides 274 wet berths and accommodates vessels up to 18 metres in length. The breakwater extends approximately 200 metres with a red lighthouse (Fl R 5s 7m 4M) marking its head. Water depth at the marina entrance is 7 metres. The facility operates year-round and maintains VHF channel 17 for communication. Due to its sheltered position from all winds and long naval tradition, the marina has become increasingly popular among sailors, particularly families with small children.
Facilities include toilet and shower facilities adapted for persons with special needs, a restaurant noted for fine dining, maintenance and repair services, a 9-tonne crane, slipway, parking, free wifi, and an ATM. A grocery store is available nearby, though the fuel station is located 11 nautical miles away. The marina is equipped with a device for discharging fecal water and has been awarded the Blue Flag. Tesla charging stations are available for electric vehicles.
The marina serves as a starting point for exploring the surrounding uninhabited islets and their beaches. The village itself offers gastro, sports, and cultural events during the season, and the oldest Benedictine abbey on the island attracts both tourists and pilgrims.
How to get there
When approaching from the north or west, navigators can use two landmarks: Cape Sorinj with a lighthouse (Fl W 3s 10m 6M) at position 44°50.7' N 14°41.0' E, and Cape Kalifront with a lighthouse (Fl (3) W 10s 11m 8M). Maman Islet lies between Kamporska Draga and Supetarska Draga bays and has a shallow coast requiring caution. The marina's breakwater is approximately 200 metres long with a red lighthouse (Fl R 5s 7m 4M) on its head.
The harbour is entered from the northeast with a speed limit of 2 knots within the marina. When approaching from the south, the course leads along Cape Kanitalj and continues towards Cape Kalifront. At night, sailors should take a course from Kalifront towards Cape Sorinj until the marina's red lighthouse is visible.
Official navigational charts recommended are HHI editions 101, 300-31, INT3410, 100-18, and MK-7. Contact the marina on VHF channel 17. The nearest airports are Rijeka, Zagreb, and Zadar, with road access via E751.
