Full Description & Details

Luka Srscica is a natural anchorage on the southeastern side of Krk Island, Croatia, lying between two promontories about three miles east-southeast of the harbour of Vrbnik. The bay, also known as Uvala Srscica, offers a quiet stop for cruising yachts, with the island's main settlements and facilities some distance away.

The anchorage is open to the north and northwest, and shelter is good in all winds except those directions, when it becomes untenable.

How to get there

Approach Luka Srscica from the south or southwest, as there are dangerous rocks to be avoided in the approach from both the north and the east. Anchor at the head of the inlet in 5.0 to 6.0 metres over a seabed of sand and mud, where holding is good.

If winds are variable, it may be advisable to take a line ashore to prevent swinging. There is no VHF channel listed for this anchorage; skippers should rely on visual navigation and local charts.
