Full Description & Details
Restaurant Festa operates a marina-style jetty in Golubovac lagoon on the island of Zut, part of the Kornati archipelago in North Dalmatia. Founded in 1993 by Mirko Mudronja and now run by his son Kresimir, the facility combines a high-end restaurant with berthing for visiting yachts. The jetty is described as better anchored than many marina jetties and offers excellent shelter. The facility is set among centuries-old olive groves and cypress trees.
The jetty can accommodate vessels up to 50 metres in length. Water and electricity are available at the berths at extra cost. Berths are in high demand and are booked early. The facility has installed a water treatment plant, which has improved water quality in the area. WiFi is available. The restaurant belongs to the high-priced segment and is known as one of the best in Central Dalmatia, serving daily fresh fish, shellfish and seafood prepared with extra virgin olive oil from island groves. Homemade pasta and bread are served, and the wine list includes Croatian and international selections.
The facility operates its own eco-system with a solar power system and a desalination device producing 800 litres of drinkable water per hour. An aqua park is available for children. A small sandy beach is nearby. The restaurant also offers a few rooms and apartments with relaxation, cosmetic treatment and massage services. A small outdoor gym is available for guests. The island of Zut is not permanently inhabited; seasonal residents from Murter come for fishing, cattle herding, olive growing and fig collecting.
How to get there
Restaurant Festa is located in Golubovac lagoon on the north-eastern side of Zut island, the second-largest island in the Kornati archipelago. The facility is close to the borders of Kornati and Telascica National Parks. No specific navigational approach details, bearings, waypoints or VHF procedures are provided in the sources.
Skippers should note that when approaching the bay, marineros from restaurant jetties may wave; these are separate from the nearby ACI Marina Zut. Zut island is not permanently inhabited and has no fuel facilities. The closest fuel station is in Zaglav on the neighbouring island of Dugi Otok.
The island is accessible only by sea. Seasonal residents arrive from the town of Murter on the mainland.
