Full Description & Details
Landin is a quiet, peaceful bay on the southern end of Otok Pasman in the Zadar archipelago, Croatia. The anchorage is set amongst green and wooded slopes with just a handful of low dwellings and a single rustic restaurant on shore. It is run by the city of Zadar, which has installed a well-spaced array of mooring buoys in good condition.
The bay is well protected from the prevailing winds, making it a comfortable stop. Water temperatures in late summer are around 19-20°C at the surface, a few degrees colder a meter down. Swimming off the stern can be colder than off the bow due to the boat's swinging mixing the water.
How to get there
Approach Landin from the south, threading through the islets at the southern end of Otok Pasman. The bay is on the western side of the island, and the entrance is straightforward in daylight. Be aware that new aquaculture farms, not shown on charts, have been placed in protected areas that would otherwise make good anchorages; these are unlit and lie in passageways between islands.
Night navigation around these islands is very dangerous and is not allowed by regulation in most areas. The anchorage is managed by the city of Zadar, and mooring buoys are available. There is no specific VHF channel mentioned in the sources.
