Full Description & Details
Zaglav Dugi Otok Marina is a small town pier located in the village of Zaglav on the southeastern coast of Dugi Otok island, Croatia, at the head of U. Triluke bay. It is primarily known as the only fuel berth on the island, making it a busy stop for yachts during the season. The harbour is protected from southeast winds by a long breakwater that connects the mainland to the islet of Hrid Pohlib, which has a light structure on its end.
Shelter is good in all winds except from the northeast. The marina accommodates approximately 100 boats, with a maximum length of 60 metres and a maximum draft of 8 metres, though depths alongside the fuel berth are only 2 metres. Berthing is available on a quay north of the fuel berth, where yachts can moor bows or stern-to using laid mooring lines.
The harbour is entered from the northeast, leaving the islet and breakwater to port, with depths around 20 metres in the entrance and 3.0 to 4.0 metres on the quay. There are shoal patches in the approach from the northeast off the island of Lavdara and between the two islets a mile northwest of it. The marina offers fuel, water, a restaurant, and a diving center, but no electricity, toilets, showers, or laundry facilities.
A minimarket and a restaurant are located on the main road to Zaglav. For provisioning, the nearest options are limited, and repairs are only available on an emergency basis in Sali, a mile southeast. The closest seasonal port of entry is Sali, while the nearest year-round port of entry is Zadar, accessible by ferry from the nearby ferry berth.
How to get there
Approach U. Triluke from the northeast, leaving the islet of Hrid Pohlib and the breakwater to port. There are no dangers in the immediate approach, but be aware of shoal patches off the island of Lavdara and between the two islets a mile northwest of it. Depths in the entrance are around 20 metres, and on the quay they are 3.0 to 4.0 metres.
Once past the outer breakwater, turn to starboard and head for the northwest corner of the harbour, where the fuel berth and mooring quay are located. No VHF channel is listed for this harbour; use standard VHF procedures for hailing if needed. For land access, the village of Zaglav is connected by ferry to Zadar, the island of Iz, and a local connection to Sali, as well as a bus line along the island.
The nearest year-round port of entry is Zadar, while Sali serves as the seasonal port of entry.
