Full Description & Details
Marina Medulin sits in a sheltered bay on the far south of the Istrian peninsula near the town of Medulin. The facility is small and surrounded by pine trees, with 85 berths in the sea accommodating vessels up to 19.99 metres. The marina is operated by Adriatic Yacht Charter and was renovated and reopened in April 2019. The entire facility is secured with 24-hour guarding and constant video surveillance.
Depth at the piers ranges from 1.50 metres to 2.80 metres. Each berth includes water and 220V electricity, toilet use, free Wi-Fi throughout the marina and one parking space. The marina provides modern sanitary facilities with showers, a reception, ATM, telephone, fax and photocopying services. A crane is available for vessels, and a gas station is open on site. Catamarans and trimarans are accommodated at double the standard berthing price. Annual berths include three days on land and a 20 percent winter supplement from 01.10 to 30.04.
The marina reception provides daily meteorological forecasts during the season in Croatian, English, German and Italian. Payment is accepted by cash and credit cards including Master Card, Maestro, Visa and Visa Electron. Rent-a-car services can be arranged at reception. The marina is active in winter with reduced reception hours. Medulin town centre is within walking distance and offers two large supermarkets, bakeries, butcher shops, a small market with fresh produce and more than 40 restaurants and cafes along the promenade.
Vessels with integer lengths are placed in the next higher category for pricing. Owners must vacate berths by 14:00 on the contracted departure day or incur an additional day's charge. The marina offers both sea and land berths with varying inclusions depending on the contract type.
How to get there
Marina Medulin is located at 44°48'53"N, 13°55'42"E in a well-sheltered bay on the southern tip of Istria. The approach requires attention due to shoals in the area. The safest route is to sail east past the island of Fenera, then proceed between the islands of Ceja and Bodulas. The channel into the interior of the bay is impassable in strong jugo (Scirocco) conditions.
Contact the marina on VHF Channel 17; the Harbor Master monitors Channel 16. The marina is not a port of entry. Medulin town is a short walk from the marina and offers comprehensive provisioning and dining options. The marina provides parking for berth holders, subject to availability for daily and monthly contracts.
