Full Description & Details
Marina Veruda - Pula occupies the eastern shore of the northern cove in Veruda Bay, south of Pula on Croatia's Istrian peninsula. The large bay, historically a fishing port, is surrounded by well-preserved Mediterranean vegetation and has developed into a modern marina facility. The islands of Veliki and Mali Fraskeri and Veruda adorn the entrance, while Punta Verudela with its beaches and hotels lies to the left. The hills of Zelin, Volaria and Rastovica provide natural shelter behind the marina.
The marina operates year-round with 18 pontoons providing 630 wet berths for vessels up to 40 metres LOA with a maximum draft of 4 metres. All berths are video-monitored and equipped with water and electricity connections at 220V and 380V. The facility offers safe refuge from all winds due to its protected position. Additional capacity includes 180 to 300 moorings on land and 50 vessels in dry-dock, though these are separate from the wet berth count.
Facilities include a fuel station within the marina, 10-tonne and 30-tonne cranes, repair and maintenance services, showers and toilets, restaurant and bar, exchange office, grocery store and chandlery. The marina features a swimming pool open daily from 10:00 to 19:00, available exclusively to marina guests. Restaurant Volaria, located by the sea within the pool complex, serves traditional Mediterranean dishes, fish and meat specialties, pasta and desserts. Sports facilities nearby include basketball, tennis and bowling courts.
Marina Veruda has been awarded the Blue Flag for environmental protection. The marina serves as a strategic gateway to the entire Adriatic, with routes west to Trieste and Venice, and south past Cape Kamenjak and the 31-metre Porer lighthouse toward the Kvarner Gulf and Dalmatian coast.
