Full Description & Details

Fazana is a working fishing and tourist harbour on the western coast of Istria, about 8 kilometres north of Pula. It is the main departure point for boats to the Brijuni Islands National Park, and the harbour is busy with local fishing boats, excursion vessels and visiting yachts.

The port is open year-round, but summer brings the heaviest traffic. The town of Fazana sits right at the harbour, with restaurants, cafes, shops and supermarkets within walking distance.

How to get there

Approach Fazana from the west or south, keeping clear of the rocky eastern shore of the Fazana Channel, where numerous shoals lie 200 to 400 metres offshore. The channel south of the harbour contains the islets of Sv. Jerolim and Kotez, and the eastern side of Veliki Brijun island is shallow with many shoals.

The entrance and main docking areas have depths of 3 to 8 metres, suitable for vessels with moderate drafts. Night navigation is possible using harbour lights, but first-time visitors should plan to arrive in daylight. Contact the harbour office by phone at +385 99 390 8206 or by email at [email protected] for berth reservations.
