Full Description & Details

Crikvenica Marina is located in the town of Crikvenica on the mainland coast of Croatia, in the Vinodolska channel opposite the island of Krk. The marina sits at the mouth of the Dubracina river, about six miles southeast of the road bridge linking Krk to the mainland. The town is a well-known tourist spot in the Kvarner Bay, 35 km from Rijeka.

The marina has 118 berths, with a maximum depth of 4.5 meters and can accommodate vessels up to 50 meters LOA. Following extensive renovations completed in December 2021, including a new breakwater and pier extension, the marina offers modern mooring devices, water and electricity connections, and a fire hydrant. A fuel station is within a 2-minute reach.

The marina provides good shelter except from northwest and west winds, when Soline bay on the northeast coast of Krk offers better protection.

How to get there

Approaching from the north, a yacht passes under the road bridge linking Krk to the mainland, which has a clearance of over 50 meters. The resort of Crikvenica sprawls for over a mile along the coast six miles southeast of the bridge. In the approach from the south, the buildings of the town and the breakwaters of the two harbours are conspicuous from some distance. A large viaduct crossing a gorge northeast of the town is also conspicuous.

Either side of the river entrance shallow sandbanks have built up which extend some 200 meters offshore. In the approach from the north, a yacht should keep outside the two red buoys marking the limit of the sandbank. In the approach from the south, a single green buoy south of the main harbour breakwater marks the limit of the sandbank. A green light tower marks the end of the harbour breakwater.

Depths in the entrance are 5.0 meters and at the quays 3.0 meters. Shelter is good except in winds from northwest round to southwest.
