Full Description & Details

Marina Klimno Zaton Soline sits on the north-eastern shore of Krk Island, in the village of Klimno, directly opposite the mainland town of Crikvenica. The bay, known as Uvala Soline, is nearly landlocked and offers all-round shelter, with a muddy bottom that provides good holding.

The marina is small and often crowded, with about 100 berths for boats up to 20 metres, though the bay itself can accommodate vessels with a draft of 4 to 5 metres, either at anchor or on a dry mooring. The surrounding area includes the settlements of Klimno, Soline and Cizici, with shops, cafes, restaurants and ATMs available, and the medieval hilltop town of Dobrinj lies just inland.

How to get there

Entering the bay requires care due to the narrow entrance and the rock Solinji in the centre. Keep south and then continue northwest to avoid the shoals of Crni. The entrance is marked by a stone light tower to starboard and a red metal pillar to port, with a reef at the inner end of the channel also marked.

Anchor in the bay to the NE or S in 4 to 5 metres of water. The nearest airport is on Krk Island, and the island is connected to the mainland by a bridge, making Klimno accessible by road.
