Full Description & Details
ACI Marina Rovinj occupies the southeastern side of Rovinj's city harbour, providing direct views of the old town, the Church of St. Euphemia and the island of St. Katarina. The marina completed a comprehensive reconstruction in 2019, modernising both its sea and land infrastructure with contemporary design and technological solutions. It has been part of Rovinj's waterfront for 34 years and remains a prominent Mediterranean nautical destination.
The marina offers 195 wet berths accommodating vessels up to 35 metres LOA for annual berthing and up to 50 metres for daily berthing. Maximum depth reaches 12 metres. The island of St. Katarina provides shelter from north and west winds, and the marina offers excellent protection in most conditions, though berths can become uncomfortable or dangerous in strong southwesterly winds. The facility is equipped with devices for discharging fecal and oily waters.
On-site amenities include water and power at berths, free wifi, modern sanitary facilities with disabled access, laundry, a restaurant, technical repair services, a wellness centre and parking. A fuel station is located 0.5 nautical miles away. The marina holds the Blue Flag environmental award and has charging stations for electric vehicles. Provisions and chandlery are available nearby in Rovinj town centre, approximately one kilometre from the marina.
ACI Marina Rovinj operates year-round. The marina is part of the ACI chain and maintains high service standards. Rovinj is a port of entry for Croatia, and yachts arriving from abroad must first clear in at the customs quay on the north side of the bay before proceeding to the marina.
How to get there
From seaward, Rovinj is easily identified by the bell tower of the Church of St. Euphemia on the peninsula and the island of St. Katarina in front of the town. Cape St. Euphemia lighthouse (Fl 4s 19m 7M) at position 45°05.0'N 13°38.0'E serves as a waypoint. Approach the marina by passing between St. Katarina Island and the town harbour breakwater, whose head is marked by a lighthouse (Fl R 3s 7m 3M).
A shoal between the breakwater and St. Katarina is marked by a yellow-black conical buoy and must be rounded from the north. When approaching from the south, hold closer to the marina breakwater, which terminates in a green lighthouse (Fl G 5s 7m 5M). Contact the marina on VHF channel 17.
The nearest airports are Pula, Trieste and Ljubljana. Road access is via the E751. Rovinj is a designated port of entry; yachts arriving directly from Slovenia or Italy must first tie up at the customs quay on the north side of the bay below the old town to clear in with the Harbourmaster (first floor) and police (ground floor) before proceeding to the marina.
The Harbourmaster's office Pula, branch office Rovinj, monitors VHF channels 10 and 16.
