Puerto Santa Cruz de la Palma (Marina La Palma)

Marina La Palma, located on the east coast of La Palma, is the sea gateway to the charming city of Santa Cruz de La Palma. It is just 15 minutes from the airport at the end of the capital’s waterfront.
Located in one of the most charming locations in the Canary Islands, Marina La Palma offers yachtsmen the perfect place to explore the historic capital of La Palma and the island’s spectacular green scenery. Marina La Palma is located in the port of Santa Cruz de La Palma, at the north end of the commercial dock. The end of the main harbor dock is marked by a tower: FL.G.5s16m5M.

The Port of Santa Cruz de La Palma receives both passenger and cargo vessels, so all vessels must contact the Port of Santa Cruz de La Palma traffic control center on VHF channel 09 before entering.

A new steel gate, 14 meters high, frames the entrance to Marina La Palma. It is illuminated at night and is indicated by a marine traffic light with a red or green light. If the red light is on, it means that the gate is closed or in motion, which means that access is completely prohibited. You must contact Marina La Palma on VHF channel 09 to request permission to enter.

The staff of Marina La Palma will open the gate by remote control, the opening procedure takes about 8 minutes. The mouth is 20 meters wide and the draft during the lowest tide is 4.5 meters.

Once the traffic light turns green and you get permission from the marina staff, you can get inside the marina and go to the reception pontoon, which is located opposite the entrance and just below the harbor master’s office, where you will be met by the marina staff.
