ABOUT KORCHUL
The island of Korcula almost completely merges with Pelesac through the Pelesac Channel.
The city of Korcula, located in the north-east of the Southern Dalmatian Island of the same name, is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved medieval cities on the Croatian coast and in the entire Mediterranean, and it is rightly called “Little Dubrovnik".
He managed to preserve the look that he had at the turn of the 16th century. The same stone towers, walls, the same street structure in the shape of a fish skeleton.
The urban planners of Korcula took into account both functionality and perfect harmony with nature – the streets are built in such a way as to let the refreshing Mistral pass from the west, but to stop the cold and winter winds from the northeast.
