ACI Marina Slano (Veljko Barbieri)

The newest ACI Marina Slano is the ideal starting point for a cruise on the Elafite Islands or for a hike to Dubrovnik.
It was named after the creator of the ACI marina chain Velko Barbieri.
The marina is built in a beautiful bay, which has always been a good shelter for all types of yachts.
A 50-kilometer bike path is available for guests who want to spend an active holiday on the Dubrovnik coast.
ACI Marina Slano is located in a spacious and magnificent bay of the same name. The cradle of Dubrovnik shipping, the small town of Lopud, located along the bay of the same name and the island, surrounded by lush vegetation, and its Shun Bay are only 10 nautical miles from Slano. Kolocep, the last inhabited island of the Southern Adriatic, is located a few miles to the east.

Approach
ASI Marina Slano Veljko Barbieri is located in the north-eastern part of the spacious harbor of Slano, which goes one nautical mile deep into the Kolochepsky Canal. The pier is well protected from all winds and has been a famous mooring place since time immemorial. You can enter the harbor of Slano through a passage of 340 meters long between Cape Gorni and Cape Donji. There is a lighthouse on Cape Donji (W point of the Bay) (C Bl 3s 16m 4M). The port lighthouse is located on the local embankment, 150 meters northwest of the marina. You need to sail northwest from the entrance to the harbor of Slano to get to the pier. The water depth in the marina is sufficient for safe swimming and generally ranges from 10 to 35 meters. The water is shallow only near the coast (at least up to five meters).

There are several ways to enter the Kolochep Canal, which is protected by a series of Elaphite Islands. The first one from the west is the Small Gatekeeper between the Pelesac Peninsula and the Olipa Island, followed by the Great Gatekeeper, between Olipa and the Yaklian Island and the Harpoti Strait, between the Yaklian and Shipan Islands. Further east, you can find the passage between the islands of Shipan and Lopud, the passage between Lopud and Kolochep, and Velika Vrata( Big Doors), which represent the southernmost entrance to the channel.
