Full Description & Details

Zdrelascica is a small port facility located on the southeast part of Ugljan island, positioned within the Mali Zdrelac channel between Ugljan and Pasman islands. The port operates year-round and provides two berths for visiting vessels. The southwest section of the port is reserved for cargo ships, while recreational vessels can dock sideways on the north-eastern part of the facility.

Depth at the dock is limited to 1 metre, with water depths in the surrounding area ranging from 1 to 4 metres. The port offers protection from prevailing winds. The seabed in the anchorage area north of the channel consists of sand, in some areas with grass, providing good holding. Vessels should exercise caution as anchoring in the middle of the channel is prohibited.

The nearest fuel station is located 5 nautical miles away at Marina Sukosan. Basic provisions and restaurant facilities are available within a 15-minute walk north in the village. The location provides access to a beach club on the shore and swimming opportunities.

The Mali Zdrelac channel experiences heavy traffic, including regular ferry and passenger ship services, which can create significant wave action and make conditions uncomfortable for anchored vessels. Skippers should be aware that this is one of the most popular passages for vessels travelling from central Dalmatia toward the Kornati islands.

How to get there

Zdrelascica sits by the pass between Ugljan and Pasman islands in the Mali Zdrelac channel. Vessels approaching should be aware that the channel experiences extremely heavy traffic, as it serves as a major transit route between central Dalmatia and the Kornati archipelago. Regular ferry and passenger ship services use this passage.

Anchoring in the middle of the channel is prohibited; vessels must anchor north of the passage along the Ugljan shore. The port is marked by nearby navigation lights including Artina E3171.4 lighthouse at 0.13 nautical miles and Mali Zdrelac G3 lighthouse at 0.2 nautical miles. Contact can be made by phone at +385 91 373 22 93.

The village is accessible by a 15-minute walk north from the anchorage, and the bridge over the channel provides a landmark for orientation.
