Full Description & Details

Luka Zdrelac is an anchorage on the north side of the island of Pasman, in the Mali Zdrelac Passage between Pasman and Ugljan. It sits in Zadar County, Croatia, near the village of Zdrelac. The bay is well protected against all winds; northern winds cause only smaller waves. The main drawback is that ships passing through the entrance generate swell and noise, so the anchorage can be restless when traffic moves through the passage.

Water depths range from 1 to 5 meters, with the shallowest water near the docks. The seabed is sand, and holding is good. You can anchor in front of the port, and there is room to swing. Overnight anchoring is allowed. The water is clear for swimming, and you can swim easily to shore, where a beach club sits right on the sand.

A 15-minute walk north reaches the village of Zdrelac, where you will find a small grocery and a couple of restaurant stops. The bridge over the Mali Zdrelac Passage is worth a walk for a view over the channel. There is no fuel dock at the anchorage; the nearest fuel station is at Sukosan, about 3 nautical miles away.

Approach with care because of the ship traffic in the passage. The anchorage is open year-round, with the high season from June to September. The holding in sand is reliable, but check the depth at low tide, especially if you plan to anchor close to shore. The swell and noise from passing ships are the main reasons to pick another spot if you want a perfectly quiet night.

How to get there

Luka Zdrelac lies in the Mali Zdrelac Passage on the north side of Pasman, between the islands of Ugljan and Pasman. The entrance is marked by the Mali Zdrelac lights, with G3, G2, and R3 beacons nearby. Approach from the passage, keeping clear of the shipping lane, and anchor in the bay in 1 to 5 meters of water over sand.

Watch for ships transiting the passage, as their wake causes swell and noise. Land access is from the village of Zdrelac, a 15-minute walk north from the anchorage. The nearest fuel station is at Sukosan, about 3 nautical miles away.

There is no formal port office; this is an anchorage, so no clearance formalities apply beyond standard Croatian entry procedures.
