Sali is located on the southern coast of the island of Dugi Otok, about 14 miles southwest of the mainland city of Zadar. It is the largest city, the administrative center and the main ferry port on the island. Protected by the small island of Lavdara, located two miles from the coast, the port of Sali Marina is well protected from all winds and waves, although during strong south-easterly and southerly winds, parking may be less comfortable. The inner part of Sali Marina is also protected by a breakwater, which is used by local fishing boats. The total capacity is about 90 berths. Guest yachts can dock on both sides of the harbor (pontoon N and S), which is equipped with berths with water and electricity. The water depth ranges from 2.5 to 8 meters. Pontoon S offers about 50 berths for yachts. Despite the fact that the water depth at pontoon S is about 2 m, vessels with a larger draft can still moor here, as the water becomes deeper further from the pier (about 6-8 m).
Sali has a medical center, a dentist, a post office, an ATM, a police station, several shops and bakeries, a fish market and several restaurants. The nearest gas station is in the Capital, two miles northwest of Sali.
Sali Marina is a seasonal port of entry. The nearest year-round port of entry is Zadar, with which Sali is connected by ferry service.
Sali Marina is a wonderful place to stop on the way to the beautiful Kornati Islands.
