Pasalimanı is a small marina on the northwest coast of Pasalimanı Island in the Sea of Marmara, Turkey. The island is the second largest in the region after Marmara Island.
The marina sits in front of Pasalimanı village, in a bay that historically served as a shelter for the Ottoman fleet. The village cemetery holds Ottoman pasha graves from that era, and nearby Harmanlı village and Balıklı village with its stone houses are worth a visit.
How to get there
The bay is closed to all weather, especially from the north, but approach requires care. Enter from the north, leaving Koyun Island to starboard, or from the west, leaving the pier to port; the northern entrance is cleaner.
On the western approach, shallow-water buoys assist navigation, and a bank lies in the middle of the bay, so recheck your charts before entering. The bay bottom near the village is a mix of gravel and seaweed.
