Cesme Marina sits at the western end of the Izmir Peninsula on Turkey's Aegean coast, operated by Camper & Nicholsons Marinas in partnership with IC Holding since opening in June 2010. The marina won the ACREW 'Best Superyacht Marina in the Aegean' award in 2020, recognising its commitment to superyacht facilities and crew services. The historic town of Cesme, with its castle, lies immediately northeast of the marina and was ranked eighth in the New York Times top places to visit in 2010.
The marina provides 400 fully serviced berths for yachts up to 60 metres with a minimum depth of 3 metres throughout. The entrance is 88 metres wide and protected by a 300-metre breakwater, with the facility sheltered by land and the breakwater to the northwest. The marina is accessible 24 hours a day with round-the-clock mooring assistance, security and CCTV monitoring. Power supply ranges from 16 amps to 400 amps.
Facilities include a fuel station, waste reception station, 80-ton travel lift and 20-ton boat mover, with shoreside storage for up to 100 yachts. The fully serviced boatyard offers yacht maintenance and repair services. Amenities include a boutique hotel with six rooms, restaurant, cafe, bar and supermarket. How to get there
Pilotage into Cesme Marina is straightforward from north or south. Cesme Castle is easily identifiable immediately northeast of the marina, with the outer breakwater and green light visible day and night. The channel between Chios and the mainland is free of unmarked hazards.
Rocks marked by a beacon one mile west of the entrance should be kept a quarter mile to starboard, or leave to port passing midway between the rocks and the headland. Pass between the breakwater to starboard and the pier to port, then contact the marina on VHF channel 72 to arrange your berth. By road, Cesme Marina is less than an hour's drive from Izmir at the western end of the Karaburun peninsula, with regular bus services between Izmir and Cesme.
Adnan Menderes International Airport is 45 minutes away with direct connections to many European cities via Turkish Airlines, SunExpress, Pegasus, British Airways and Lufthansa. Customs and Immigration offices are a short walk from the marina.
