Ozdere Limanı is a planned marina at Kesmekaya Mevkii in the Ozdere district of Menderes, Izmir, on Turkey's Aegean coast. As of late 2021, the project received final environmental approval (CED olumlu), but construction had not yet begun. The marina is designed for 255 yachts ranging from 6.5 to 26 meters LOA, with a main breakwater of 870 meters and a light at its end.
The project area covers 174,472 square meters, and the plan includes a travel lift, floating piers, and a fuel station. The existing Ozdere Balıkcı Barınagı (fishing shelter) will remain unchanged and continue operating separately. No dredging is planned because the site already has sufficient depth.
The construction phase is expected to last two years, with a total project timeline of about four years including permits.
How to get there
Ozdere Limanı is located on the Aegean coast near the town of Ozdere, about 40 km south of Izmir. The marina is not yet open, so no official VHF channel or approach procedures have been published. Mariners should rely on updated Turkish nautical charts and local notices to mariners.
The nearest prominent landmark is the existing Ozdere fishing shelter, which remains active. The main breakwater will have a light at its end once built, but until then, approach with caution. There is no dedicated marina VHF channel yet; contact the local harbor master or the fishing shelter for current information.
The area is within the 'Kultur ve Turizm Koruma ve Gelisim Bolgesi', and construction is prohibited between May 15 and October 15 each year, so any works will pause during the summer season.
