Full Description & Details
Marina Sangulin occupies the inner southern section of Biograd na Moru harbour on Croatia's central Adriatic coast, positioned between Zadar and Split. The marina sits on the bay side of the town peninsula approximately 200 metres from the old town centre. Its location in the sheltered inner harbour provides excellent protection from all winds, making it a secure year-round facility. The marina lies adjacent to the larger Marina Kornati, with Marina Sangulin being the smaller and more town-proximate of the two facilities.
The marina provides 200 wet berths equipped with water and electricity connections, accommodating vessels up to 15 metres LOA. Sea depths within the marina range from 1.5 to 4 metres. The facility operates year-round but experiences high demand and crowding during July and August, with early booking recommended for the peak season from June through September. Marina Sangulin has held Blue Flag certification for nearly a decade, reflecting its environmental standards.
Facilities include a reception area, well-maintained shower and toilet blocks housed in containers in the western and main sections, and WiFi access. The marina offers boat servicing and maintenance through Angelina Yachtcharter. While Marina Sangulin itself does not have a fuel station, refuelling is available at the nearby Marina Kornati gas station. Secure parking is available both inside and outside the marina complex. Restaurants, supermarkets, a post office, pharmacies, and the harbour master's office are all within walking distance in Biograd na Moru town centre.
The marina's strategic position provides direct access to Kornati National Park, Krka National Park, and the nature parks of Vransko Lake and Telascica. Zadar International Airport lies approximately 30 kilometres northwest, making Marina Sangulin readily accessible for international arrivals.
How to get there
Marina Sangulin is approached via Biograd na Moru harbour, which can be reached from the northwest through Pasmanski Kanal between the mainland and the islands of Ugljan and Pasman, or from the south around Pasman island's southern end. When approaching from the south, mariners should note that shoals extend half a mile off the eastern coast of Sv. Katerina island at 43°55.970'N, 015°25.837'E. A green marker buoy indicates a shoal patch 200 metres southwest of the marina entrances.
The town buildings and marina masts are conspicuous from distance. Marina Sangulin lies in the inner harbour behind two smaller inner breakwaters, inboard of Marina Kornati which occupies the outer harbour section. Vessels should call Marina Sangulin on VHF channel 17 prior to entry.
Berthing assistance is available, and yachts berth on pontoons as directed by marina staff. The marina is located approximately 30 kilometres from Zadar by road via the A1 motorway and D502. All town amenities including provisions, restaurants, and services are within a short walk from the marina.
For repair work beyond basic servicing, the neighbouring Marina Kornati offers more extensive facilities.
