Full Description & Details

Kum Beach is an anchorage on the west coast of the Karaburun Peninsula, in the northwest of Gulbahce Gulf, between Kum Burnu and Engeceli Burnu. The area is a large and well-sheltered harbor with three distinct coves, each offering secure shelter under different weather conditions. Manal Koyu, between Kum Burnu and Dalyan Burnu, is sheltered from the north but open to the south, ending in a shingle beach with residential properties.

Korfez Koyu and Gerence Koyu lie on the western side, divided by Tascılar Burnu; Gerence Koyu is more spacious, and its southern inlet provides all-round shelter in all weather conditions. The seabed is sandy with good holding, and anchoring is allowed. The beach itself extends 2.3 kilometers with gentle descent, and nearby amenities include toilets, bars, restaurants, showers, umbrellas, sunbeds, and changing cabins, with lifeguard supervision.

How to get there

The anchorage is located on the west coast of Karaburun Peninsula, in the northwest of Gulbahce Gulf, between Kum Burnu and Engeceli Burnu. No specific navigational bearings or hazards are detailed in the sources, but the harbor is described as large and well-sheltered. Vessels can anchor in 3-4 meters depth over a sandy bottom in Manal Koyu, with good holding.
