Full Description & Details
ACI Marina Trogir sits on the island of Ciovo, directly across a narrow 100 m canal from the medieval Old Town of Trogir, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The marina is a popular charter base thanks to its proximity to Split airport (8 km) and significantly less congestion than ACI Split. The Old Town, with its cathedral, fortresses, and konobas, is a 5‑minute walk across the bridge.
The marina is exceptionally well‑protected from all wind directions, remaining calm even in 40‑knot Bura. The approach channel offers depths of 8–12 m, and the marina entrance depth is 4.5 m. It provides 161 in‑water berths for vessels up to 30 m LOA (daily) and 26 dry berths. Maximum draught is 4.5 m. All berths have water and electricity (16A/32A). The bridge connecting Ciovo to the Old Town has a clearance of 2.80 m; vessels that cannot pass under it must approach from the west.
On‑site facilities include a fuel berth (open 06:00–22:00 in season), a small chandlery, grocery store, restaurant, cafe‑bar, laundry, ATM, and free Wi‑Fi. A crane and a maintenance/repair shop are available. Charter handover offices for major operators operate here. The marina holds a Blue Flag and has received awards for quality and sustainability.
The marina is open year‑round. Peak season is July–August, with Saturday the busiest handover day; booking 48 hours ahead is recommended. Speed limits are 5 knots in the Trogir channel and 3 knots within 100 m of the marina. The bridge clearance restricts mast height for vessels approaching from the east; those over 2.80 m must use the western approach. The marina is a safe all‑weather refuge.
How to get there
Approach from the south through the Trogir channel, a well‑marked strait 200 m wide at its narrowest, with depths of 8–12 m. Reduce speed to 5 knots in the channel and 3 knots within 100 m of the marina. The marina entrance is on the Ciovo side, between the bridge to the mainland and SCT Marina Trogir. Call ACI Marina Trogir on VHF channel 17 for berth assignment 30 minutes before arrival.
Vessels with mast height over 2.80 m cannot pass under the bridge and must approach from the west, between Ciovo and Celica Rock, using the green lighthouse on Cape Cubrijan (Fl G 2s 8m 4M, position 43°30.7′N 16°14.6′E) as a landmark. For those approaching from the east, the course is marked by red and green buoys; depth under the bridge is 4.5 m. The nearest airport is Split (SPU), 8 km away – a 12‑minute taxi ride (€15–20) or an hourly bus to Trogir bus station followed by a 10‑minute walk. By car, the marina is 15 km from the A1, E65, E71 highways.
Guarded parking is available at €10/day or €60/week. No special check‑in formalities beyond standard marina registration.
