Full Description & Details

Porto Deportivo de Viveiro is a marina in the Ria de Viveiro, on the northwest coast of Galicia in the province of Lugo. The marina sits at the head of the ria, near the mouth of the Rio Landro, and is within easy walking distance of the town of Viveiro. The ria is small, with a depth of 15 metres, and is oriented north, exposed to the sea. The marina was developed from a traditional fishing harbour, and it now operates as a recreational facility with 235 berths.

The marina offers a maximum length of 20 metres and a maximum draft of 3 metres. The entrance channel is delimited between the breakwater at Covas Beach and another breakwater whose end lies about 400 metres south of the Celeiro shelter breakwater. The ria has large sandbanks in its southern sector that cover and uncover with the tide, so skippers should pay attention to local conditions. Overnight stays are permitted.
