Full Description & Details
Caranza is a small marina in the Caranza neighbourhood of Ferrol, on the north side of the Ria de Ferrol in Galicia, Spain. It is operated by the Club Nautico Barrio de Caranza under a concession from the Autoridad Portuaria de Ferrol-San Cibrao.
The marina consists of a pontoon parallel to the breakwater, with four finger piers branching off it, providing 141 berths for boats typically 6 to 8 metres long, with a maximum length of 12 metres. The water area is about 3,361 square metres.
How to get there
The marina lies inside the Ria de Ferrol, on the north shore, and is reached via a breakwater. Approach depths at the entrance are about 2.5 metres, but within the berthing area depths range from 1.5 metres down to 0.5 metres, referenced to lowest astronomical tide.
These shallow depths are the main constraint, especially for boats over 30 feet, and are the reason the marina is fully occupied by motorboats of 8 metres or less. There is no VHF channel specified; contact the club by phone at +34 633 591 515.
