Full Description & Details
Port Heraclea is a large marina on the Bay of Cavalaire, on the French Riviera between Saint-Tropez and Le Lavandou. It is run by the public company SPL Port Heraclea, formed in 2018 when the public and private parts of the old port of Cavalaire merged. The marina has 1100 berths spread over two basins, East and West, with 1015 reserved for permanent residents.
Two floating pontoons are dedicated to rental boats. The setting is a wide, sandy bay backed by low hills, with the port forming the main focal point of the town of Cavalaire-sur-Mer.
How to get there
Approach to Port Heraclea is straightforward, with clear entry points and navigational aids guiding vessels into the marina. Contact the harbor master on VHF channel 9 for berth assignment and docking instructions. The entrance is protected by breakwaters, and the two basins are entered from the bay.
Depths are suitable for vessels up to 6 meters draft, and the maximum length accepted is 30 meters. A reception pontoon, overseen by the harbor master, is available on arrival to assist with docking.
