Full Description & Details

YC Orsan is a yacht club situated directly opposite the cruise ship jetty at Dubrovnik's ferry port in South Dalmatia. The facility operates without an official licence to charge guests for berths, which results in visitors frequently being turned away. The club serves as a starting point for sailing trips to the national parks of Mljet and Lastovo.

All berths have electricity and water connections. Depths range from 1 to 4.5 metres, with mooring line berthing available. The location experiences heavy swells caused by ferry port traffic, which affects the visitors' berths. The yacht club has a boat lift and slipway on site. A fuel station is located slightly south of the club.

Sanitary facilities consist only of WCs, which are shared with guests from the adjacent restaurant. No showers are available. The yacht club operates a restaurant serving fish dishes. Dubrovnik's historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is accessible by public bus and offers supermarkets, bakeries, butcher's shops, and a large daily market near the cathedral.

The facility is marked as members-access in official records. Skippers should be aware that berthing availability is uncertain due to the club's licensing status and should have alternative arrangements in Dubrovnik, such as ACI Marina Dubrovnik or Marina Gruz.

How to get there

YC Orsan is located in Gruz harbour at the ferry port in Dubrovnik. When approaching Gruz harbour, mariners should be aware of the Vranac shallows marked by a lateral light in front of the north shore of Lapad Peninsula, and several reefs east of this marker that make sailing close to shore dangerous. Maximum sailing speed between Daksa and Kantafig Point is 6 knots, reducing to 4 knots within the harbour itself.

Navigational marks include lighthouses on the north point of Daksa islet and Kantafig Point at the harbour's east entrance, the bridge at the entrance to Rijeka Dubrovacka, and a harbour light at the head of Petka Pier on the east shore. The yacht club is positioned 2.1 nautical miles from the harbour entrance. Dubrovnik's centre is accessible by public bus from the yacht club.

Contact can be made by phone at +385 20 435 922.
