Full Description & Details
Lucisce Harbour is a small cove on the southern coast of Hvar Island, near the village of Brusje. The harbour offers a basic anchorage with limited facilities, primarily used by local fishing boats and occasional cruisers. The setting is rugged and exposed to southerly winds, so shelter is only adequate in settled conditions.
The water is clear, and the seabed is a mix of sand and rock, but holding can be uncertain in places. Ashore, there is little more than a stone quay and a few seasonal konoba (taverns) during summer. The nearest town, Hvar, is about 5 km west, where full services are available.
How to get there
Approach Lucisce Harbour from the south, taking care to avoid the rocky islets and shoals that fringe the entrance. There is no marked channel, so daylight navigation is advised. The harbour is small and can be crowded in July and August; anchoring is possible in 5-8 metres of water, but the holding is moderate.
There is no VHF monitoring or harbour office; contact local boats for guidance if needed. Land access is via a narrow, winding road from Brusje, which is about 2 km inland. The nearest airport is Split, with a ferry connection to Hvar Town.
