Full Description & Details
Hamam Koyu is a wide bay on the west side of Manastir Koyu, about 1 nautical mile southwest of Boz Burnu, in the Skopea Limani area of the Fethiye Gulf. The bay is open to the northeast, so it is not a good all-weather anchorage. It is a popular spot for anchoring, with a seabed of sand and rocks.
The bay is known for its sunken city and fortification ruins, as well as the Cleopatra's Baths in Ruin Bay nearby. A viewpoint over Gokgemile Harbor can be reached by a short walk from the bay.
How to get there
Approach Hamam Koyu from the southwest, keeping clear of the shore. The bay is open to the northeast, so approach from that direction is straightforward in settled conditions. There is a submerged rock about 20 meters off the restaurant quay at the north end of the bay; give it a wide berth.
Anchor in 10 to 15 meters of water, with a line to the stone quay or a bollard on the northwest side. The restaurant pontoon is available for mooring, but only if you take a meal there. There is no VHF channel mentioned for the anchorage.
