Full Description & Details
Gocek Koyu is a deep, sheltered bay on the Turkish coast near the town of Gocek, at the head of Skopea Limanı. The bay is protected from most directions except the southeast, and its steep, rocky shores rise quickly from the water. The seabed is sand, with depths ranging from 15 to 25 meters.
Anchoring is prohibited here; instead, the bay uses the Deria mooring buoy system, with 11 visitor buoys available seasonally. The bay is a popular stop for its calm waters and the nearby Cleopatra Baths, a natural attraction reachable by dinghy.
How to get there
Approach Gocek Koyu from the open waters of Skopea Limanı, keeping at least 15 meters off the shore because rocks rise steeply from the waterline. There are no specific navigational hazards noted beyond these rocks, and the bay is deep enough for most yachts. Contact the Deria mooring service on VHF or by phone to arrange a buoy, as anchoring is not permitted.
The bay is close to the town of Gocek, which has several marinas and is about 18 kilometers from Dalaman International Airport. A restaurant pier and shore mooring points allow tender landing, and the restaurant can deliver meals to your boat.
