Full Description & Details

Darbogaz Koyu is a narrow bay on the east side of the isthmus of the Bozdogan Peninsula, in the Fethiye region of Turkey. The bay is deep, with a sandy bottom in the middle and rocky edges.

The southern side is covered with pine forests, and the western end offers an adequate anchorage. The water is clear and turquoise, and the bay is known for being quiet, especially in the late afternoon after daily tour boats depart.

How to get there

Approach Darbogaz Koyu from the west, rounding the tip of the peninsula near Gemiler Island. The entrance to the bay reveals itself as you come around, with water transitioning from deep sapphire to translucent turquoise. Anchor in 10 to 15 meters at the western end of the bay, taking a line ashore on the southwest side.

The bay has a sandy bottom in the middle but rocky edges, so be cautious when setting the anchor. There is no VHF contact mentioned for this anchorage.
