Full Description & Details
Marina de Formentera is located in La Savina, the only port area on the island of Formentera, in the Balearic Islands. It sits within the Darsena Deportiva La Savina, surrounded by the protected Parque Natural de Ses Salines, and is close to the famous Playa de Ses Illetes. The marina was completely renovated in 2006 and offers a modern, well-equipped facility for visiting yachts.
The marina provides 90 berths for vessels up to 24 meters in length, with a maximum draft of 3.5 meters. The entrance depth ranges from 3.5 to 4 meters, while the dock area has depths between 2.5 and 3.5 meters. The bottom is sandy, and the marina is sheltered from southerly winds, but be aware that northerly and easterly winds can be dangerous. Each berth has a pillar with electricity (220V and 380V), a fuel supply outlet, and drinking water. Mooring is stern-to-dock with mooring lines.
Facilities include fuel (diesel), water, power, Wi-Fi, showers, laundry, and restrooms. There is a repair shop, a travel lift with a capacity of 35 tons, and a boatyard nearby. The marina also offers a bar-restaurant, a sushi bar, and a chandlery. Waste collection includes sorted waste, waste oil, and a suction system for gray and black water, all provided free of charge. The seamanship service is open 24 hours, and an auxiliary boat is available to assist with mooring.
The marina is open all year and allows overnight stays. It promotes responsible anchoring, especially to protect Posidonia seagrass, and may refuse port facilities to vessels that do not comply with its environmental guidelines. Anchoring is prohibited in the Natural Park of Ses Salines, and there are three buoy fields available by reservation at Calo de s'Oli, Ses Salines, and S'Espalmador. For weather safety, seek port shelter during thunderstorm warnings.
