Full Description & Details
Marina de Bonaire is a marina located on the north side of the Alcudia peninsula in Mallorca, Spain, just east of Punta de Manresa. It sits in the south-east of the Bay of Pollenca, about 65 km from Palma Airport. The marina is set within the Bonaire urbanization, surrounded by a pine forest, and is described as a clean, quiet facility in attractive surroundings. It is a separate facility from the nearby Port d'Alcudia, which lies to the south-west.
The marina has 333 berths, with a maximum vessel length of 16 metres and a maximum draft of 2.7 metres. Depths in the harbour range from just under 4 metres down to 1.4 metres. The entrance is narrow, with depths of 6 to 5 metres decreasing to 4 to 3 metres. The marina is open to the north, so it offers limited protection from northerly winds. Upon arrival, vessels should moor on the inside of the outer pier and have a berth assigned. The marina is often fully booked in summer, so advance contact is recommended.
Facilities at the marina include water, electricity, wifi, showers, toilets, laundry, and a restaurant. A supermarket is located about 50 metres away, and more stores are in the town of Alcudia, about 2 km away. The marina also has a shipyard with a travel lift, crane, and 5,400 square metres of dry dock space for boats up to 16 metres, 5 metres beam, and 28 GRT. Services include hull cleaning, maintenance, and repair, plus a ramp and dry dock service for boats under 7 metres, available from 15 May to 15 October.
For safety, the marina is open to the north, so skippers should be mindful of northerly winds. The entrance is narrow, requiring careful navigation. The marina monitors VHF channel 9. Overnight stays are permitted. Given the summer booking pressure, it is wise to contact the marina in advance by phone at +34 971 546955 or via their website to confirm availability.
How to get there
Approach Marina de Bonaire from the Bay of Pollenca, heading toward the north side of the Alcudia peninsula. The peninsula can be recognized by a castle on its summit. The port is located just east of Punta de Manresa.
Access is easy, but the entrance itself is quite narrow, with depths of 6 to 5 metres decreasing to 4 to 3 metres. Upon arrival, moor on the inside of the outer pier and have a berth assigned. Contact the marina on VHF channel 9 for berth allocation.
For land access, the marina is at Cami Vell de la Victoria, 42, in the Mal Pas-Bon Aire area of Alcudia. Palma Airport is about 65 km away. The town of Alcudia is approximately 2 km from the marina, offering additional stores and services.
