Full Description & Details
Te Ana Marina is a working seaport in Lyttelton Harbour, on the eastern coast of New Zealand's South Island, about 12 kilometres from Christchurch. It serves as a maritime hub for the region, with close to 200 berths accommodating powerboats, mono-hull yachts, catamarans and launches. The marina has both fixed and floating berths for vessels up to 30 metres in length and 3 metres draft.
Each berth includes fresh water and electricity, and Wi-Fi coverage extends throughout the marina. A fuel dock offers both petrol and diesel. The marina's breakwater provides protection for berthed vessels in challenging weather.
On site, there is a boat repair yard, a chandlery, waste disposal facilities and a boat lift for maintenance. The town centre of Lyttelton is within walking distance, with restaurants, cafes, shops, supermarkets, banks, medical services and accommodation options readily available.
How to get there
The harbour entrance offers a wide and deep passage. Once inside the harbour, boaters should keep to the starboard side of the channel. The marina's entry is marked with leading lights, making navigation straightforward.
First-time visitors are advised to use a navigational chart or GPS due to the harbour's size and the number of vessels potentially in the vicinity. By land, the marina is a short drive from Christchurch International Airport via State Highway 74 and Tunnel Road, and it is easily accessible from Christchurch city centre. The marina is clearly signposted within Lyttelton Harbour for those arriving by sea.
