Full Description & Details
Gulf Harbour Marina sits at the tip of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula, about 40 kilometres north of Auckland's city centre, facing the Hauraki Gulf. It is a well-protected, all-weather marina with over 1000 berths, accommodating vessels up to 35 metres in length and 4 metres in draft. The marina provides power, water, wireless internet, waste disposal, and fueling for both petrol and diesel.
Amenities include showers, laundry, a restaurant, and provisions, with a crane available for heavier needs. The address is 1001-1055 Laurie Southwick Parade, Whangaparaoa, New Zealand.
How to get there
Approach from the south or east, guided by a red and white sectored light (FL WR 3S 5/3M) that keeps you clear of Kotanui Island and the rock breakwater. The deep-water entry channel is marked by red and green flashing lights on painted piles and white transit leading marks; align the white triangles (lit at night) to stay on course. Once inside, the Ferry Terminal marks the end of Z pier to port, with piers A to L labelled by lit signs.
Berths are numbered odd on the south side, even on the north; larger berths (18-20m) are at A pier, smaller (10.5m) at L pier. Contact the Dockmaster on VHF CH 73 or call 09 424 6200 for allocation; assistance is available. Keep speed below 5 knots within the marina.
