Full Description & Details
Povlja is a small harbour on the northeastern side of the island of Brac, with the port in the centre of the village. It is a working local harbour rather than a large marina, and it is usually completely occupied by local yachts.
The harbour is well protected from south and east winds, but the bura (NE wind) and a mistral (NW wind) cause waves. Depths range from 0.2 to 10 metres, with the shallower water near the eastern point of the bay, about 200 metres from shore.
How to get there
Approach Povlja from the sea, noting the lighthouse on the low western point and the holiday home village east of the lighthouse. The eastern point of the bay is shallow, so keep a good distance off that side.
The harbour is open year-round, from January 1 to December 31. For berthing, contact Mr. Petar on +385 95 537 0527.
