Full Description & Details
Marina Tucepi sits at the heart of the lively tourist town of Tucepi, part of the Makarska Riviera. The marina is flanked by a 4 km‑long pebble beach flying the Blue Flag and the impressive Biokovo mountain range. It is officially styled as an ECO MARINA, striving for sustainable operations. The atmosphere is a blend of a working fishing harbour and a modern yachting stop, with the town’s amenities immediately at hand.
The harbour provides good shelter from most directions, though strong Bora winds from the north‑east can still send gusts into the basin. Depths range from 1 m to a maximum of 10 m. The marina offers 150 berths in total: 25 are commercial berths set aside for visiting yachts, all fitted with power and water connections, while the remaining 125 are long‑term residential berths. Some sources also note 70 dedicated yacht berths, with about 30 reserved for transient visitors; however, space is often tight and the marina can be fully occupied on weekends.
Facilities include well‑maintained sanitary blocks with showers and WCs, free drinking water and electricity at every berth, and internet access near the reception (50 m). Around the marina, within a 50–500 m radius, sailors will find multiple restaurants and konobas, supermarkets, bakeries, a pharmacy, ATMs, a post office, a diving centre, a children’s playground, and a laundry. There is no fuel dock; the nearest fuel is in Makarska, 3 NM north.
Reception operates daily from 07:00 to 21:00 during the season. Because of heavy charter traffic and limited visitor berths, advance booking is recommended, especially for weekends. Strong NE gusts during Bora and a narrow fairway require careful handling when maneuvering in the marina.
How to get there
From the north, a prominent modern bell tower in Tucepi and the red light on the breakwater are the primary marks. The breakwater shelters the marina well, but note that Bora can still funnel strong gusts from the north‑east. No major hazards exist on the approach from the north.
From the south, give a wide berth to the rocky ledge off Cape Dracevac, about 1 NM south‑east of Tucepi. The long breakwater with a red light at its end becomes visible as you close the coast. There is no VHF channel published. Once inside, the visitor berths are along the inner side of the breakwater; the space can be restricted, so careful handling in any wind is essential.
By land, Tucepi is 4 km from Makarska and well connected by the A1 motorway (exit 22 km away). The nearest international airport is Split, around 80 km to the north‑west. Free parking for marina guests is available 50 m from the berths.
