Full Description & Details

Urla Yat Limanı is a planned marina at Cesmealti in the Guvendik district of Urla, on Turkey's Aegean coast near Izmir. As of late 2024 the project was in the environmental impact assessment (CED) phase, with a public participation meeting held on 18 December 2024. The marina is designed for 250 berths, with construction expected to take two years and an operating period of 50 years. Earlier zoning plans were cancelled by a court after an objection by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, but the project has been resubmitted by the General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

How to get there

The marina is located at Cesmealti in Urla's Guvendik neighborhood, on the coast southwest of Izmir. The planned harbour includes a 280-metre breakwater protecting about 80,399 square metres of sheltered water. Inside, a 547.5-metre quay with a depth of minus 4 metres, 480 metres of floating pontoons, and a travel lift basin of 25 by 8 metres are planned. Vessels should approach from the open Aegean, keeping clear of the breakwater until the entrance is identified. No VHF channel or specific waypoint has been published for Urla Yat Limani.
