Full Description & Details
Puerto Deportivo de Rota is a marina in the town of Rota, on the coast of Andalusia in Cadiz province, Spain. It sits in the Bay of Cadiz, about 5 miles NNW of Cadiz and 10 miles SSE of Chipiona. The harbour is shared with a fishing port, and the marina is the only one in the bay actually within the town itself, making it convenient for exploring the old town and its Castillo de la Luna.
How to get there
Approaching from the north, keep about one mile offshore as you round Punta Candor to avoid shallow reefs that extend along the coast for the final three miles up to the harbour. From the south there are no dangers. The narrow harbour entrance is orientated NNE, with depths of at least 4.5 metres at the entrance.
Once inside, the shelter is good. Call Puerto Deportivo de Rota on VHF channel 09 or telephone +34 956 840069. Moor at the reception pontoon opposite the entrance, which doubles as the fuel station, and visit the marina office.
