Full Description & Details
The Port of Playa Blanca is a busy ferry and leisure harbour on the south coast of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. It sits in the town of Playa Blanca, part of the Yaiza municipality, and is the main link to Corralejo on Fuerteventura. The marina has 210 berths for visiting yachts, with a maximum length of 60 metres and a maximum draft of 3 metres.
Berths have water and electricity, and there is a fuel station primarily for fishermen. A travelift and dry dock are available for maintenance, and the port has 24-hour security with CCTV. Car parking is provided.
The surrounding town offers restaurants, cafes, shops, car rental and travel agencies.
How to get there
Approach Playa Blanca from the sea, keeping to the east side of the marina to avoid ferry traffic. Ferries enter by skirting the estuary in a northerly direction, and the entry route is well-marked. The final manoeuvre can be challenging due to confined space and the proximity of sports dockings.
The marina is generally well-sheltered, but occasional excessive swell and long-period waves can affect the port. There is no specific VHF channel listed; contact the port office by phone at +34 928 517 540 for berthing instructions.
