Full Description & Details

Marina Isla Canela is a marina in the natural setting of Isla Canela, in Ayamonte, Huelva, on Spain's Atlantic coast. It is the last Spanish port with close access to the open sea, and sits a short distance from the Algarve in Portugal. The marina is run by Club Nautico Isla Canela, which has operated sailing courses and regattas here since 1990 and is ranked in the Silver group of the Andalusian Sailing Federation's club ranking.

The marina has 231 berths ranging from 6 to 24 metres in length, all with independent fingers. Water and electricity supply are available at the berths, and free WiFi covers the marina. The harbour is marked as a marina on charts, and the facility includes a 5,800 square metre hard standing area with modern suspension and transport systems for hauling and storing boats. A crane is available for lifting.

Facilities include a customer service office where skippers can get navigation information and complete formalities. The marina offers repair services and has a permanent sailing school with courses for adults and children, including basic sailing licence courses and Optimist and Laser sailing. Nearby attractions include Isla Canela beach, Ayamonte's old town, and the Algarve across the border.

Berth rates vary by season. Low season runs from January to May and October to December, mid season covers June and September, high season is July and the second half of August, and a special season applies from 1 to 15 August. Prices exclude VAT at 21%, and catamarans are charged at 1.5 times the length rate. On pontoon 4, electricity is billed separately by meter reading. Overnight stays are permitted.
