Full Description & Details

Carriacou Marina is a working boatyard and berthing facility on the southwest side of Tyrell Bay, Carriacou, in the Grenadines archipelago of Grenada. It sits at 12°27′12″ N 61°29′14″ W, within a natural, protected mooring area. The marina offers stern-to docking with both 110V and 230V electricity, and has installed several mooring buoys in the bay. It can accommodate vessels up to 70 feet in length and a draft of 7–8 feet depending on tide.

A 40-ton ASCOM Travel lift handles boats with a beam up to 18 feet. On-site services include a fully stocked chandlery, special order equipment service, a fuel station with SOL gasoline and diesel (duty-free for eligible clients), and a customs and immigration office. The convenience store is open from 8 am to 7 pm, selling food, deli items, and drinks, and provisioning can be arranged on request. The marina is a designated Port of Entry for yachts arriving from the north; those from the south use Port Louis Marina in Saint George's.

The customs office is open Monday to Friday 08.00–11.45 and 13.00–16.00, weekends and holidays 09.00–13.30. Yachts should clear out by 15.00 and leave within 24 hours. Vessels must display the Q flag until clearance is complete, and may anchor or dock at the marina for a fee. Captains need a combined Immigration/Customs form, available online, plus crew information, immigration cards, last port clearance, and IDs.

Outward clearance is required for the next destination.

How to get there

Approach Tyrell Bay from the west or southwest, using the natural protected mooring area. The marina is on the southwest side of the bay. Contact Carriacou Marina on VHF channel 16 or 68 for assistance and direction upon arrival.

No specific bearing or waypoint is published; navigate visually into the bay and follow local mooring or dock instructions. Depths vary with tide, so check draft limits of 7–8 feet before entering. Land access is via the island of Carriacou, reachable by ferry or small aircraft from Grenada.

The marina is in Argyle, near the bay's southwest shore. Formal clearance is handled on-site at the customs and immigration office; no pre-arrival notification is specified beyond standard VHF contact.
