Full Description & Details
Trizonia Marina sits on the northwest side of the Gulf of Corinth, 12 miles east of Navpaktos and 15 miles west of Galaxidhi, opposite the mainland town of Glifadha. The island's only small hamlet and several waterfront restaurants serving local specialties like crayfish enhance the marina's appeal as a popular port of call. Though its construction in the 1990s was never completed, the marina offers a well-sheltered harbor and anchorage with basic infrastructure.
The marina comprises a long outer east breakwater and a shorter inner west breakwater, along with two concrete jetties. It can accommodate yachts at five berthing positions, with depths ranging from 2.5 to 5.0 meters, suitable for boats of various sizes. Despite the lack of formal services, the marina's layout ensures ample space for mooring, though facilities like water, electricity, and fuel are not available directly on the berths.
How to get there
Navigating to Trizonia Marina is straightforward, with two main approaches: from the southeast, between Trizonia and the islet of Ay. Ioannis, and from the northwest, between the island and the mainland.
The approach from the southeast is free of hazards, while a wide berth is necessary from the northwest due to a reef extending from the island's shores. Once near, the marina is accessible between two protective breakwaters, with depths ranging from 9.0 to 10.0 meters in the bay entrance and 5.0 to 6.0 meters in the marina entrance, ensuring a safe and sheltered arrival for all vessels.
