Full Description & Details
Mikonos Marina, also known as the Port of Mykonos, is a large harbor on the island of Mykonos in the South Aegean. It sits about a half-hour walk from the town center and its attractions. The marina is generally quiet, partly due to its distance from the main tourist areas.
Water and electricity are available throughout the marina, and fuel is delivered by minitanker. A mini market with a good assortment is nearby, and several good restaurants are within walking distance, including Matthews Tavern across the street, though prices there are touristic.
How to get there
Approach from the southeast; there are no dangers on the way. The entrance depth is 5.0 to 6.0 meters. Usually, one or more large cruise ships are moored to the outside of the breakwater. Visitor yachts typically moor to starboard at the entrance.
The marina consists of a short breakwater extending from the shore and two parallel concrete piers 100 and 200 meters inland. Depths along the pier and breakwater range from 4.25 meters at the base to 4.5 meters at the end. The marina monitors VHF channel 12.
