Once near, the marina is accessible between two protective breakwaters, with depths ranging from 9.0 to 10.0 meters in the bay entrance and 5.0 to 6.0 meters in the marina entrance, ensuring a safe and sheltered arrival for all vessels.

Description of the Marina

Though its construction in the 1990s was never completed, Trizonia Marina offers a well-sheltered harbor and anchorage with basic infrastructure. The marina comprises a long outer east breakwater and a shorter inner west breakwater, along with two concrete jetties. It can accommodate yachts at five berthing positions, with depths ranging from 2.5 to 5.0 meters, suitable for boats of various sizes. Despite the lack of formal services, the marina’s layout ensures ample space for mooring, though facilities like water, electricity, and fuel are not available directly on the berths.

The drive from Athens to the mainland town of Glifadha, directly opposite Trizonia Island, takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. The route is scenic and well-signposted, offering travelers a pleasant journey through diverse landscapes.

1. From Athens: Take the E65 and E952 highways towards Patras, and then follow the signs to Nafpaktos. Continue on the coastal road towards Glifadha.
2. From Patras: If you’re coming from the western part of Greece or arriving via the port of Patras, head east towards Nafpaktos and then continue to Glifadha.

Upon reaching Glifadha, visitors will find parking areas near the ferry departure points.
